One talented family! Not only is Sandra Bullock a proud mom of two, but she is also a great sibling to her sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado. Since they were young, the Academy Award winner and her beautiful sibling always put family before anything else.

“We were raised in such an unusual way that we were taught to be relatively private people,” Gesine previously recalled to The Guardian about sharing a childhood with Sandra. “I have friends and we’re close. But when you are very private, family becomes more and more important. They are the only ones that you want to share certain things with.”

The pair were both born in Washington, D.C., six years apart. Gesine was completely supportive of her sister when she decided to pursue an acting career. In fact, she even served as the president of Sandra’s production company, Fortis Films, before making the transition to working in the culinary world full time.

“Sandy is so focused on what wants to achieve she’s very clear on how she wants to move forward,” Gesine raved about her sister during a March 2001 interview with Variety. “She has boundless energy — creative and otherwise — and the sheer will to get things done.”

In March 2022, the critically acclaimed actress starred in The Lost City, with Fortis Films serving as one of the producers behind the production. Though Gesine no longer works for the company, she was there to celebrate the film’s premiere that month.

She posed for pictures with her big sister during the rare outing, sporting a simple black dress on the red carpet. They don’t step out together too often, but it’s clear that their relationship is stronger than ever. The culinary expert shared an Instagram video from the event after watching the comedy for the first time.

“So funny. So charming. So proud. Go see #thelostcity and stay through the credits or you’ll miss out,” she captioned the post.

The Speed actress isn’t the only one celebrating huge career milestones. In 2021, it was announced that Gesine would be joining the judging panel of Best Baker in America on Food Network. While filming the series, she formed a great friendship with fellow judges Carla Hall and Jason Smith.

“Our relationship is very special,” she told the Burlington Free Press in April 2021 about her costars. “We want the experience to be great for everyone on set.”
